To have a first look, or not to have a first look?
I’m sure you’ve heard it before and you’ll hear it again. Some people are team first look (as if it’s Twilight ) and other people like to keep it traditional. I haven’t spoken much on this topic before.
Can you guess where I stand?
I am team YOU.
I will stand behind your decision 100%
First look or no first look. At the end of the day it is your wedding and your relationship.
I will not (nor should anyone else) convince you to go one way or another.
With that being said, here are some things that may help you decide what to do on your day!
No First Look
You get that first reaction as they see you walk down the aisle.
You get to share that first moment and raw emotion with all of your friends and family.
You can share a not-first-look like reading letters to each other.
You stick to tradition.
It removes some of the pressure to have a big reaction. Sometimes it can put pressure on your partner to react in a certain way. No first look – no pressure.
First Look
Gives you a chance to see your babe in a quiet, genuine setting, just you two.
Enables you to get the majority of photos done before the ceremony.
Can help calm your nerves a bit before you walk down the aisle.
Different lighting! Chances are if you do a first look you’re going doing it early in the day which means a different lighting scenario compared to later and/or sunset photos.
Get the ugly cry out of the way.
Still not sure exactly what’s for you?
Let’s talk it out and see what would be best for you two on your day!
