We’re chatting all things engagement sessions in Cedar Rapids, IA. I’m dropping the top 5 locations for a gorgeous Cedar Rapids engagement session in the Cedar Rapids, IA area!
The NewBo District is a gold mine of those urban feels! Throw in a walk downtown and you get the classic, timeless architecture of the Art museum and City Hall. There a ton of beautiful brick, colorful nooks, and more often than not we make our way down to the river walk for a little bit of nature.
Calling all my nature lovers out there! Indian Creek is one of my TOP spots for engagement sessions. It’s the perfect mix of meadows and trees and even a little bit of water if you’re up for a jaunt to the creek!
I absolutely love Morgan Creek park in the Spring time. It’s a bit of a hidden gem and you have to time it just right, but the arboretum is so lovely in the Spring. It’s full of blooming trees and fresh grass just waiting to be adored. It also is a top favorite in the Summer and Fall with wide open meadows and lush trees full of changing leaves.
Lake MacBride is one of my all time favorite spots! Technically this one isn’t in Cedar Rapids, but it is well worth the short 20 minute drive there. There is just something about the water that allows for a sense of calm and ease when it comes to have your photos taken. Think wide open space, a dip in the water, and long, playful grass. Whether it is in the Spring, Summer, or Fall, Lake MacBride is a gorgeous spot for an engagement session in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Not many people think of favorite date night spot as the perfect spot for their engagement session, but it is! A memory worth keeping alive and enjoying for years to come. A date night at your favorite spot in the city. Think places like; the Pickle Palace, a beer by the fire at Big Grove Brewery, or a game of pool at the infamous Fat Wally’s.
