Mollie + Max met while living in the same dorm during college. They fell into the same friend group and while they were at a Passenger concert together they shared a look and knew something had changed. Three years later, Max surprised Mollie while taking her photo on a cliff in Arkansas! He got down on one knee and the rest was history.

When Mollie and Max first reached out to me, they said they wanted someone who was genuine and didn’t focus too much on the posed photos. They loved that there was not only a focus on them, but the reactions and emotions of their friends and family.

They chose to have their wedding celebration at The Bend near Lake Okoboji. They loved how secluded it was the busyness that can be Okoboji. Their favorite part was the tree lined ceremony spot and the way the sky lit of the wind turbines at sunset. It truly doesn’t get more Iowa countryside than that.

The day started off rainy, but they totally rolled with it! We popped outside for some photos. Back inside for some more. The weather cleared up just in time for the ceremony.
