Joyful Wedding Full of Surprises at The Tea Room – Iowa Wedding Videographer

This year we traveled to Des Moines for more weddings that we have before and it was so worth it! Every single wedding we got to be apart of was so much fun! Especially Alex + Alissa’s wedding at The Tea Room in downtown Des Moines!

We were both on video for their day. They reached out on a referral from another photographer. Alissa and Alex knew they wanted to remember the sounds of the day, the voices of their favorite humans, and be able to watch the beginning of their marriage for years to come.

Alissa and Alex wanted a wedding film that was fun, yet still reflected the joy and love they have for each other and that same sentiment amongst their friends and family. We kept all of that in mind throughout their day. Filming endless moments of their friends telling stories, laughing, and dancing. We used the voices of their parents during toasts to create the storyline of their day.

Our favorite moments were the surprises they both planned for each other! When Alissa first reached out she mentioned their obsession with their cat, Hugo (instant connection!!). Alex surprised her with a visit from Hugo himself on their wedding day!! Later on, Alex was the one getting surprised with a last minute Bag Piper for their ceremony exit. Both moments equally epic!! Watch their full film below to see how it all happened!

That's us on our wedding day. The part we loved the most? The big group hugs, the tears shed, the belly laughs, and getting to share all of it with our friends and family.
