Top Locations for a Summer Engagement Session – Iowa Wedding Photographer

Who doesn’t love the warm breeze and golden sun on a summer’s eve? Summer time engagement sessions are some of my favorite session!! There is just nothing quite like being wrapped up in the arms of your favorite person and the golden rays of summer on your skin.

I’m sharing some of my favorite go to summer time engagement session locations in the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City area!

Lake MacBride

Lake MacBride is my go to wrapped up in the golden rays of summer location! It could not be more perfect with the water and the vast open landscape of the lake. Make it a date night and grab a beer at our favorite brewery, Big Grove in Solon or pack a picnic!

Hawkeye Wildlife Management Area

A little off the beaten path, this area is the definition of Iowa. With back country roads and lush green surrounding, we’ll be chasing the summer sunset all evening long!

NewBo/Czech Village

For a more urban, uptown vibe with a pop of color, The NewBo District is my go to! With so many new things, like live music, ice cream, and breweries the options are endless for a fun date night/engagement session!

That's us on our wedding day. The part we loved the most? The big group hugs, the tears shed, the belly laughs, and getting to share all of it with our friends and family.
