Spring Engagement Session Ideas! – Iowa Wedding Photographer

Find A Flower Field! We found a wild flower patch that was filled with Red Clovers. Mara says to Corbin, “I think these are edible! You know the ones that Thumper eats in Bambi.” So we all gave them a try! Ahah! Turns out they weren’t the best.

Flower Fields are usually a little harder to find! Typically I find them by just going out and exploring! This one was at Wanatee Park!

Use the local greenhouse for a unique, plant filled vibe!
We went to Pierson’s greenhouse and it was the perfect backdrop for my Spring mini sessions!

Local Greenhouses:
Noelridge Park

Culver’s

Pierson’s

The BEST part about Spring? ALL OF THE GREEN!! I say embrace it!
Find a local park, soak in the fresh new leaves, and enjoy the weather by the water!

Some of my favorite parks in the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City area are:

Kent State Park

Lake MacBride Park

Palisades-Kepler State Park

Hickory Hill Park

Devonian Fossil Gorge

Hawkeye Wildlife Management Area

That's us on our wedding day. The part we loved the most? The big group hugs, the tears shed, the belly laughs, and getting to share all of it with our friends and family.
